About the event
Honor Her is a healing-centered community circle designed to celebrate the legacies, wisdom, and resilience of the women who came before us. In this circle, participants will explore the meaning of ancestry and womanhood through guided reflection, prompts, and communal dialogue. We’ll uplift mothers, grandmothers, aunties, elders, and other community matriarchs whose strength continues to ground and inspire us. This session will incorporate an altar-building activity where participants can honor an ancestor or influential woman through candle lighting, photos, poems, or other symbolic items. This practice creates space for remembering, showing gratitude, and sharing the love for generations that have come before.
Essential Items Needed- Comfortable seating, playlist, candle(s), framed or printed photos of a
woman or women you want to honor.
Optional- Incense, sage, or essential oil diffuser, flowers
