About SACC
At Sista Afya Community Care, our mission is to build sustainable mental wellness communities through providing affordable and culturally-centered community mental wellness care and education.
Our Story
Sista Afya Community Care was founded as a response to the mental health inequity impacting the lives of Black women in Chicago. We found that Black women wanted to receive mental wellness care, but cost was a major barrier. Sista Afya Community Care disrupts mental health inequity by removing cost, centering culture and community in mental wellness care.
SACC provides free, culturally-centered community mental wellness services for Black women and girls from all walks of life.
Model & Programs
SACC addresses the health inequities that prevent Black women and girls from receiving mental wellness care in their communities.
